Interview With Dermatologist Dr. Neil Niren, M.D

Dr. Neil Niren head of Neil Niren MD dermatology practice explains the advantages of dermal fillers treatments. With an expert aesthetic eye, Dr. Neil is very experienced in non-surgical treatments, fillers, botox, dermaroller, and skin revitalisation treatments.

Dermal fillers effectively slow down the aging process, and are used for softening the facial creases, removing wrinkles, plumping and lifting cheeks and filling out lips. The results are immediate. See the video at doctor Niren's video channel at Dailymotion.

It is a artistic treatment, because the combination of botox and fillers can shape the facial contours and can restore your youthful appearance.

What dermal filer to choose?

Restylane, Perlane, Restylane Lipp Restylane Sub Q, Restylane Vital Restylane Vital Light and Restylane Touch are all modern dermal fillers.

Juvederm Ultra is a filler produced by Allergan, the maker of Botox. It is also a type of modern, Biotechnology synthesized filler based on stabilized hyaluronic acid of non-animal origin.

Is it safe?

Restylane is a biocompatible product that is biodegradable in the body in a natural and safe way, and disappears from the body when it is fully absorbed. Allergic reactions or long-term side effects such as granuloma formation or infection are very rare with our patients at dermatology practice Neil Niren MD.

Fillers of hyaluronic acid are produced by biotechnological procedure in the laboratory, in the form of a sterile transparent gel. The advantage of modern filler is that they are not permanent, as opposed to the older silicone rubber fillers, and are longer lasting as compared to outdated collagen fillers. An additional advantage of hyaluronic fillers is that they don’t need to be tested for allergies because they are not of animal origin, unlike collagen fillers that come from animal collagen.

How dermal filers work

As we age the skin begins to lose hyaluronic acid, collagen, subcutaneous fat redistribution and elasticity. As a result and due to gravitational forces and constantly use of the muscles, wrinkles appear, the face loses volume and the skin stretches. The main ingredient that used in dermal fillers is hyaluronic acid, which actually replaces hyaluronic acid which the body was previously lost. Fillers are injected in the form of a gel through a very small needle, followed by a mild massage in order to ensure a smooth surface, and the results are immediate. Hyaluronic acid binds to water and integrates with surrounding collagen restoring the youthful appearance. Latest medical researches have shown that the body naturally reacts to the injections of hyaluronic acid, forming large amounts of collagen, which improves and extends the results of such treatment.

Is the treatment painful?

The latest generation of dermal fillers (Restylane Lidocaine, Lidocaine and Perlane Juvederm Ultra) already contains a local anesthetic. Local anesthesia eases pain and enables painless and relaxing treatment. The treatment takes 15-30 minutes.

How long do the results last?

The duration of the results depends from patient to patient, but the result of the treatment ranges within 12 to 18 months, although our experience shows that the results last longer if the treatments are repeated regularly.

It is not unusual that after several years of regular treatments, the patient doesn't need new treatment for more than two years. In this case, only a minor correction is needed.

Does it look natural?

After treatment the patient looks natural, because the skin returns an element that is lost over the years. The face remains the same only with a regained volume, the skin looks younger and the lips look more sensual. To get a better picture from the satisfied clients, people can visit doctor's dermatology practice and get a feedback from the reviews left by Neil Niren MD patients.

In addition to the fillers which produce an instant result, Dr Neil Niren MD is also an enthusiastic researcher and member at the researchgate community where actively publishes his latest scientific researches. This works in a very different way. Again, it is injected into the skin, but instead of just sitting in the lines and wrinkles and filling them out, it actually stimulates your skin cells to produce new collagen. Over time ( 6 months to I year ) you will see a real difference in the springiness, texture and volume of your face with smoothing of wrinkles. Look at some of the thumbnails below to see the remarkable results that can be achieved.

Before all aesthetic treatments Neil Niren MD checks the patient’s medical history, and clearly explains all benefits, risks and side effects associated with the procedure. After that the patient is asked to sign a consent form.
